    Summary:
    Inês Sena is a PhD student in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Minho, Portugal. As a member of the research team at the Center for Research in Digitization and Intelligent Robotics (CeDRI) in Bragança, Portugal, her focus involves developing an algorithm to predict the risk of workplace accidents occurring in a retail company. Her main research activities are related to data analysis, discovering meaningful insights from complex data sets, and predictive analytics where she applies state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to discover patterns and trends.

    Joao Mendes is a PhD student in Engineering and Systems at the University of Minho. As a member of the research team at the Center for Research in Digitization and Intelligent Robotics (CeDRI) in Bragança, Portugal, his focus is on the application and optimization of artificial intelligence algorithms within local agricultural contexts. Specifically, his research explores machine learning and deep learning methodologies, data analysis, processing techniques, and their integration within the frameworks of Agriculture 4.0. The aim is to optimize agricultural processes, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.

    • Dr. Elisa Belloni is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Power Systems at Department of Engineering of  University of Perugia, Italy. She is Ph.D. in Energetic Engineering at University of Perugia since 2013. Her main research activities are related to the study of energy production and efficiency in buildings, thermal and electrical loads management in buildings, Artificial Neural Network, electric power systems, Smart Grid, renewables and storage systems, Renewable Energy Communities,  Smart City an mobility, energy economy, environmental impact of energy systems, electric vehicles, public lighting systems,  lighting technology and innovative lighting systems (laser and LED technology).

    Title: MAR - Multipurpose Amphibious Rover

    Abstract: The expertise on complex system and the R&D activities allows to conceive, design, patent and develop a new-generation of Amphibious Robot Vehicle. Its name is MAR – Multipurpose Amphibious Rover and it is now the core activity of our R&D group. The Rover offers the advantage of avoiding human personnel exposure to the risks of the environment and often allows performance superior to the equivalent “manned” vehicle, since it does neither need the necessary space for man nor the consequent protective devices.
