Joint Technological Initiatives (JTI)

Joint Technology Initiatives (JTI) represent a specific new mechanism aimed at supporting collaborative research in Europe. JTIs are long-term Public-Private Partnerships engaged in multinational collaborative research in areas of interest for the industry and society.

JTIs are developed in a limited number of ETPs having a scale and scope of objectives that coordination through ETPs and support through regular instruments of the Framework Programme for Research and Development does not suffice. JTIs allow for effective implementation of Strategic Reseach Agendas (SRAs) by establishing adequate leadership and coordination.
