Introduction 

• The Unit of International Projects (UIP) at the University of Malaga (UMA) - Spain -, is the unit responsible for the management of all the international projects with the exception of research projects (FP7, etc.) managed by OTRI. The UIP belongs to the Service of International Relations & Cooperation (SPIC) [a.k.a. "intl' relations"].

Objectives

• To promote the participation of UMA's community (professors/researchers [PDI], staff [PAS], and students [STD] - undergraduate, master and phd -) in international projects.
• To disseminate up-to-date information regarding international projects (regulations, calls, deadlines, news, documents, reports, studies, statistics, etc.).
  
• To assist UMA's community (professors/researchers [PDI]) in the preparation of successful candidatures (creation of projects, partnerships, agreements, documents, budget, etc.).
• To assist UMA's partners in the preparation of successful candidatures (projects coordinated either by UMA or by a partner institution).
  
• To assist UMA's community (professors/researchers [PDI], staff [PAS], and students [STD]) in the management of approved (funded) projects.
  
• To assist UMA's partners in the management of approved (funded) projects (projects coordinated either by UMA or by a partner institution).
• To serve as a 'catalyzer' in the promotion and dissemination of good practices.
• To serve as a reference of academic/administrative managerial excellence.
  
• To assist grantees (researchers, staff, students) during the project implementation (visa, insurance, travel, housing, payments, orientation, information, registration, documents, reports, surveys, etc.).
• To enforce high-quality managerial procedures and standards (quick response, transparency, surveys, etc.)
