Documentation to present.

Doctors who wish to attend the call for the Extraordinary Doctorate Award must submit the following documentation:

  • Application model, duly completed.
  • Curriculum vitae in which the following sections are specified:

1. Degrees prior to the doctorate.

2. Date of enrollment in the doctoral program in which the doctoral degree was obtained.

3. Scientific production related to the thesis (include quality indicators of each of the merits):

a) Publications.

a.1) Papers published in JCR journals.

a.2.) Papers published in non-JCR journals but indexed in SCOPUS.

a.3) Papers published in other journals with anonymous peer review.

a.4) Books and book chapters in prestigious publishers or with anonymous peer review.

a.5) Other publications.

b) Presentations at congresses, seminars and conferences.

c) Other scientific production.

4. International Mention (specifying the University/s or Research Centers that have/have been a reference for obtaining the International Doctor Mention and quality indicators).

5. Co-tutelage (specifying the institution with which it was carried out, and the name of the tutor/director at that institution).

6. Stays in Research Centers during the thesis period other than the University of Malaga and the Universities or Research Centers that had been a reference for obtaining the International Doctorate Mention and for co-supervision, specifying the receiving center and, if applicable, the name of the tutor in that center.

7. Participation in research projects, specifying the type of project, financing entity, duration, amount subsidized and principal investigator.

8. Industrial mention of the thesis, if applicable.

9. Other merits related to the thesis (include quality indicators for each of the merits).

In addition, the following documents must be attached:

  • Report from the thesis director or tutor that certifies the direct relationship of the merits of scientific production and other merits (sections 3 and 5 of the curriculum vitae) with the doctoral thesis.
  • Copies or supporting documents of the scientific production related to the thesis work and of the accreditations of stays in research centers other than the University of Malaga during the thesis period. The rest of the merits presented must also be documented.

Scale.

The scale to be applied for the assessment of applications will be as follows:

  • Scientific production related to the thesis: 65%
  • International Mention: 10%
  • Thesis in co-tutelage : 10%
  • Stays in a center other than the UMA and not taken into account for the two previous sections: 5%
  • Participation in research projects and contracts: 5%
  • Industrial Mention: 5%

Considering that:

  • Only the merits derived directly from the doctoral thesis will be valued.
  • No merit may be valued in more than one section.
