The Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Malaga (UMA) is the center in charge of the organization, direction and supervision of the education leading to the obtaining of official qualifications in Health valid throughout the national territory, of Degree and Master, which are under its competence according to current legislation; as well as the academic, administrative and management processes and those other functions determined by the Statutes of the University of Malaga.

The Faculty of Health Sciences, aligned with the Strategic Plan of the UMA and its Statutes, assumes a Quality Policy and commitment to excellence that is based on four basic pillars:

1. Make social commitment, ethical behavior, transparency and a spirit of continuous improvement our reason for being.

2. Take as a reference the needs of our society to offer Bachelor and Master training through a teaching-learning process that:

  • Have an innovative teaching methodologyIntegrate new technologies
  • Allow mobility in search of the necessary knowledge to complement the training.
  • Be able to attract students from the national and international environment
  • Consider and promote the employability of your graduates
  • Use resources efficiently

3. Consider the needs of the environment to promote the development of research with criteria of scientific excellence that projects us internationally.

4. Promote relations between the center and the socioeconomic environment to promote transfer, entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and internationalization.

The importance of these four basic pillars on which our Quality Policy is based lies in the fact that they are present in each of the strategic documents of our center such as the Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the System Manual of Quality Assurance.

The Management Team has incorporated a culture of quality in all its decisions as a way of responding to the needs and expectations of all stakeholders. To do this, it undertakes to develop a Quality Assurance System (QAS) that incorporates strategies that allow continuous quality improvement. All of this is aligned with the criteria established for quality assurance in the European Space for Higher Education and with the strategy of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the University of Malaga.

The QAS of the Faculty of Health Sciences becomes the Center's management tool, allowing for the cyclical development and review of the different procedures that address both its mission or key competencies, as well as its strategic vision, deployed through the Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
