Getting to Málaga from the Airport
Málaga is the capital of the Costa del Sol, located in the South of Spain. The Málaga-Costa del Sol airport, with over 19 million passengers, has the third highest passenger volume of peninsula airports, after those of Madrid and Barcelona. If you get to Málaga by plane you can reach the city centre by train, bus or taxi, please check here:
- By train: Line C1 of RENFE suburban trains connects terminal T3 of Málaga airport with Málaga María Zambrano train station (located at 1.8 km from the venue). Journey time: 12 min (20 min frequency). Single ticket 1.80€.
- By bus: The A Express Airport Line (Line 75) of EMT buses connects the airport with the city centre. It also stops in Málaga train station as well as in Málaga bus station. Journey time: 15 min. Fare: 4 €. This bus goes upto the city center. Frequency between 30 to 1 hour depending the time of the day and from 7:00 to 00:00. Check timetable here.
- By taxi: There is a taxi stop outside the arrivals area of Terminal T3. The minimum airport service costs is 17 euros (from 06:00 am to 22:00 pm) and 19 € otherwise (leaving the airport has an additional charge and other charges as extra baggage must be added). Approximately, a trip from Malaga Airport to the city center is around 20-25 euros.
