This activity was part of the academic-cultural agenda of the UMA International HUB, designed to enrich the experience of international students during their stay in Málaga by promoting immersion in local culture through art, music, and Spanish traditions.
Throughout the workshop, participants learned basic flamenco steps while also discovering the rich history and meaning of this art form, which has been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. With her charisma and professionalism, Desirée Clavijo conveyed the passion and intensity of flamenco, creating a space for cultural exchange through the universal language of dance..
The session concluded with a small group performance, allowing students to showcase what they had learned and wrapping up an event that blended learning, fun, and cultural immersion in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
