BRIEF CURRICULUM:
He received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 2007 and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Malaga in 2012. From 2008 to the present he has been a Research Assistant with the UMA Medical Robotics Laboratory. He has had the opportunity to participate in several projects related with the surgical robotics area. More specifically, from 2008 to 2011 he researched low-level control techniques for moving robotic arms, as well as the development of semi-autonomous navigation of laparoscopic tools. After this, from 2011 to 2012 he collaborated on the research and development of a multi-robotic arm system that magnetically holds a set of light, camera and tool mini-robots inside the abdominal cavity. At present he is involved in the development of a novel tele-surgical modular and wireless robot system with force feedback to improve the surgeon's tactile sensation. During all this career he has published more than 20 works related with his work. His research interests include the collaborative robotics, autonomous decisions, human-machine interaction, security in robotics, and decision-making techniques.
