The UMA International Hub organizes a visit to one of the most magical corners of our province.
The Caminito del Rey is a pass built in the Gaitanes gorge, between the towns of Ardales, Álora, and Antequera, in Málaga. It is a pedestrian footbridge over 3km long, built into the rock inside a canyon with sections barely a meter wide, hanging up to 105 meters above the river. The total length of the route is 7.7 km.
Important: The students who are selected to participate in the activity will receive a confirmation email; if you have not received it, it means that you have not been selected. OBSERVATIONS FOR STUDENTS SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ROUTE
Please note that this is a hiking route, so you must be in good physical shape.
We recommend bringing water, food, sports clothes, sport shoes and sunscreen. Remember to bring something to eat for lunch.
We also recommend not to do it if you suffer from vertigo or if you suffer from any health problems.
Date: Saturday, June 1st. You must be at the meeting point at exactly 8 am.The meeting point: The UMA Botanical Garden: Blvr. Louis Pasteur, 29, 29071 Málaga.
Duration: The hike lasts about 3 hours. The journey to the site is approximately one hour. Taking into account this and the lunch break, the excursion will take most of the day.
