Philippines Office at the UMA International HUB

The Philippines is a privileged partner for the University of Malaga. In fact, there are currently several Erasmus student and faculty exchange programmes and an Erasmus Capacity Building programme led by the UMA, thanks to which important academic work is being carried out with the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, University of San Agustin in Iloilo, University Ateneo de Zamboanga and PHILJA. Consortium partners are the University of Deusto, University College of Dublin and Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

As a result of this relationship, the Vice-Rectorate for Mobility and International Cooperation has established a Philippines Office at the University of Malaga, located in the facilities of the 'UMA International Hub', in the Botanical Garden of the UMA. The inauguration of this new office took place this morning and was attended by the Vice-Rector for Mobility and International Cooperation, Susana Cabrera, and the Philippine Ambassador to Spain, Philippe Jones.

Both have expressed their desire that this space will become a meeting point between the two countries, promoting activities that enrich the educational experience of students, promote the exchange of knowledge and cultures, and strengthen the ties between the two nations.
