Accompaniment Programme

Through the Vice-Rectorate for Equality, Diversity and Social Action, The University of Malaga develops measures to help create a balance between work, family and personal life. 

The Accompaniment Programme is one of these measures. It is aimed at members of the university community (students, administrative and service staff and teaching and research staff) and offers an accompaniment service for minors and dependent persons.

 

OBJECTIVE

The Social Action Service makes tools available to those who wish to participate voluntarily in this Programme. The tools enable contact between the applicants (parent/guardian/family member/responsible person) and those offering accompaniment.

Managing and organising contact between applicants and providers is carried out FREE OF CHARGE.

In all events, the applicant will make the final choice regarding the person they wish to accompany them. The conditions for the provision of the service will be agreed between both parties, and sole responsibility for complying with the regulations in force lies with the applicant.

Any agreement between applicants and accompanying persons is their sole responsibility, in accordance with the legal provisions in force. The University of Malaga is totally exempt from any claim or liability that may arise from such agreements.  



REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAMME

The provider and the applicant:

- must be members of the university community.

- both parties must sign a declaration stating that the University of Malaga is fully exempt from any responsibility for the work carried out. Also, that their request for inclusion in the Programme of a free and voluntary nature, with both parties agreeing that the only task of the Social Action Service is to provide the technical and administrative means for the parties to contact each other and reach an agreement regarding the social work involved in this activity.

- Certificate of Sexual Offences. Click on the link to find the procedures for obtaining this certificate.

 

PROCEDURE

For the bidder:

 

1. Access the CONTACT ME Programme  using your university community member passwords (email and password provided by iDUMA).

2. Fill in the Programme form.

3. Attach the requested documents.


For the applicant

              1. Access the Contact Me Programme   using the passwords which were given to you as a member of the university community  (email and password is provided by iDUMA).

                2. Fill in the Programme form.

Once the application for participation in the Programme has been accepted, it will be included in the people offering/applying for the programme. The application will be included in the Programme´s database, which must be renewed each academic year.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION

The parties undertake to comply with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), as well as with the provisions of Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights and the implementing regulations thereof.

The parties undertake to observe the strictest confidentiality regarding the information transferred to them, as well as to take all necessary measures to prevent possible unauthorised disclosure of all information (both oral and written) provided, including, without limitation, information relating to the activities carried out in the execution of this Programme. In any case, users of the Programme who have access to personal data related to the Programme shall be obliged to maintain secrecy with respect to such data.

Both parties, the provider and the applicant, agree that the personal data may be included in the files created for the execution of the Programme. The sole purpose of such files is to ensure the proper management of the Programme.

The exercise of the rights of access, rectification, erasure and opposition may be carried out under the legal terms provided for in current legislation by emailing accionsocial@uma.es with the subject line ‘Data Protection’.
