> Ensure compliance with current legislation on equal opportunities within the university environment.
> Ensure legislative compliance regarding equal treatment and opportunities, and sex-based discrimination in every domain of the University.
> Promote gender mainstreaming in university policies.
> Urge those responsible for the development statistical data relevant to the acedemic staff, service administration staff, and students to disaggregate their reports by gender.
> Support studies focusing on women's representation in different University groups: teachers/lecturers, researchers, administration and service staff, and students.
> Analyze the current situation of University groups.
> Develop and implement the Equality Plan in the University.
> Propose the establishment and management of Advisory Equality Commissions and/or Councils.
> Make visible and support men and women's contributions to gender issues at the University of Malaga.
> Support the establishment of a University Institute for gender equality at the University of Malaga.
> Foster equal development of female representation in the University Council.
> Increase women's representation in the research domain.
> Encourage research studies adopting a gender perspective.
> Launch awareness and informative campaigns on gender and equal opportunities addressed to university teachers, researchers, administration and service staff, and students.
> Launch awareness campaigns on the use of sexist language.
> Coordinate training programmes specific to the subject of equal opportunities between men and women, addressed to those involved in developing equality plans (board of directors, trade unions, staff, human resources, etc.)
> Spread the culture of gender equality as a value in the University by establishing criteria to obtain "business certification in equality".
> Promote meeting and discussion forums where issues such as women's situation in the University may be analysed and reflected upon.
> Develop a performance protocol against sexual and sex-based harassment.
> Promote active work-life balance policies for all syaff members of the University community.
> Work with Centres and Institutions to develop gender equality policies.
> Disseminate research findings of studies focused on gender.
> Report and mediate in possible conflicts based on gender discrimination that take place in the University's academic and working environment.
