The XI International Week for Erasmus+ Staff, organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Mobility and International Cooperation through the UMA International HUB, has begun its second session today with an event at the UMA Rectorate. The Deputy Vice-Rector for Mobility and International Cooperation at UMA, Susana Cabrera, and the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, welcomed the participants.

The sessions are being held in person after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, this year's event has seen a significant turnout, with participants divided into two groups and sessions. The first group visited UMA during the week of May 9th to May 12th, while the second group is participating in the training from today until May 26th.

In this second session, the Week hosts a total of 32 administrative and service staff members from 24 higher education institutions, representing 19 countries. In total, the XI International Week for Erasmus+ Staff in 2022 will host more than 60 professionals from 28 different nationalities, with a significant representation from Germany, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Georgia, Hungary, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, and Tunisia. All of them are part of the Erasmus+ programs and bilateral agreements between the University of Malaga and higher education institutions.

The visitors will receive training sessions provided by staff from the Vice-Rectorate for Mobility and International Cooperation, Vice-Rectorate for Students and Sports, International Spanish Center, General Library, Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Vice-Rectorate for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Vice-Rectorate for Business, Territory, and Digital Transformation, and Vice-Rectorate for Smart-Campus.

Additionally, the Week has organized a series of cultural activities to complement the general training, including a guided tour of the University of Malaga facilities, a guided tour of the historic center of Malaga, a flamenco workshop, and an Andalusian cooking workshop.

Due to the number of registered participants, the XI International Week for Erasmus+ Staff has been divided into two groups.
