The general conditions for accessing to the official Master's degrees are determined by the article 16 of the R.D. 1393/2007 (subsequently modified by R.D. 861/2010):

  1. In order to access the official Master's degrees, it will be necessary to be in possession of an official Spanish University Degree or another Degree obtained by a higher education institution belonging to a Member State of the European Higher Education Area that authorizes for the access to a Master's Degree.

  2. Likewise, in accordance with educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area, graduates will be able to access without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that authorize in the country issuing the title for the access to a Master's degree. Access through this route will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous degree held by the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of studying the Master's degree.

Additionally, as this Master's degree qualifies for the course of the profession of Telecommunications Engineer, the specific conditions of access to the Master are determined by section 4.2 of the Annex of Ministerial Order CIN/355/2009.

Likewise, those in possession of other university degrees (see section Admission Criteria) will be able to access this Master's degree, although in this case, a set of previous training complements will be established (see section Training Complements).

The previous sections shall be understood without prejudice to the provisions of article 17.2 and in the fourth additional provision of the R.D. 1393/2007 (later modified by R.D. 861/2010).
