El Centro Internacional de Estudios Coreanos de la Universidad Estatal de Moscú invita a todos aquello interesados a asistir a su 6th Conference of Young Scholars on Korean Studies, dedicado al 30 aniversario del establecimiento de la diplomacia en Moscú (Rusia) los próximos 23 y 24 de abril de 2020.

La conferencia abarcará una amplia diversidad de temas sobre estudios coreanos en las siguientes áreas: Estudios Políticos, Economía, Historia, Filología y Cultura. La conferencia tiene como objetivo dar a los estudiantes graduados en todo lo relacionado con Corea una oportunidad para presentar sus investigaciones, compartir intereses académicos y fortalecer los lazos con otros jóvenes investigadores.

Eligible Applicants:

MA students, PhD students, and post-docs who have received their PhD in late 2018–2020,

from Russia, CIS countries, Europe, and Republic of Korea. The conference is open not only to representatives of universities, but also to the young scholars, working in public and private sector, and other specialists involved in the Korean studies. Age – under 35.

Languages:  Russian, English, Korean.

Those who wish to present a paper at the conference may submit proposals as an e-mail attachment in MS Word or RTF format (for example: SmithJohn.docx) to icfks msu@yandex.ru, the letter should be marked “Conference”.

Proposals should contain the following information:

  • Full name,
  • Academic degree (if any),
  • Institution,
  • Country and city,
  • Name of the supervisor,
  • Telephone number (preferably mobile),
  • E-mail,
  • Subject area,
  • Paper title,
  • Summary of approximately 600–700 words (in Russian, English or Korean),
  • Bibliography/references.

Deadline:   March 8, 2020.

Materials for the conference will be selected by a special committee, notification of acceptance will be sent by March 25, 2020. Abstracts of all accepted theses will be published. The most interesting presentations may be published in the “Russian Korean Studies Herald” as separate articles.
