The Doctoral School of the University of Málaga (ED-UMA) is the center responsible for coordinating the University's Doctoral Programs and organizing a comprehensive range of activities focused on supporting the training, well-being, and development of doctoral students. Its work is aligned with the University's strategic priorities in doctoral training , research, internationalization, and knowledge transfer , fostering a dynamic, international, and innovative academic environment.
Currently, the ED-UMA offers 29 doctoral programs covering all fields of knowledge, providing both specialized and interdisciplinary research training. Its objective is to promote the advancement of knowledge and foster its transfer, thereby contributing to addressing the current challenges facing our society.

EDUMA is committed to promoting internationalization in doctoral studies as a key strategy for raising the quality of research, strengthening academic training, and expanding scientific collaboration networks. To this end, it facilitates research stays abroad, international collaborations, and the completion of doctoral theses under international joint supervision . This also allows students to improve their intercultural skills and position themselves in a competitive global academic environment, as well as enrich their professional profile as research trainees.
