The activity, addressed to the general public, aims to raise awareness of new forms of gender-based violence that arise through the use of technologies in the information and knowledge society and provide tools to identify and report them. (...).
The first meeting, “Cyber-bullying in relationships: Criminological treatment”, will be given by Professor of Criminal Law and Criminology Ana Isabel Cerezo Domínguez (7 May); on 14 May it will be the turn of the assistant professor of Criminal Law Fátima Cisneros Ávila who will speak on the legal-criminal response to gender-based violence in the virtual environment, and the last meeting, “Telematic resources for protection and monitoring for victims of gender-based violence” will be led by the associate professor of Criminal Law María José Benítez Jiménez (21 May).
"La UMA será en septiembre el epicentro de la criminología europea"

Criminólogos de distintos países se darán cita en la Universidad de Málaga (UMA) el próximo mes de septiembre en el 22 Congreso Europeo de Criminología, que se celebrará entre los días 21 y 24 de dicho mes. Una representación del Instituto de Criminología de Málaga, que estos días celebra su 30 aniversario, presentó la candidatura de la ciudad en su última cita presencial, en 2017 en Cardiff, una propuesta que fue aceptada y que supondrá que la capital acoja una de las citas internacionales más importantes de la criminología a nivel mundial: el congreso anual de la Sociedad Europea de Criminología (ESC en sus siglas en inglés).
