El Literature Translation Institute of Korea (KLTI) ha abierto las inscripciones para su "Regular Course", un curso de 2 años en la prestigiosa institución para formaros como traductores de Literatura Coreana.

El KLTI es una organización afiliada al gobierno coreano que ha estado trabajando con el único propósito de apoyar la traducción de la literatura coreana y la expansión de sus lectores en todo el mundo.

Con este objetivo, LTI-Korea estableció la "Academia de Traducción" en 2008 para fomentar y capacitar a los traductores literarios profesionales. Ofrece tres cursos: Regular Course, Special Course y un programa de prácticas llamado Translation Atelier. La Academia ha formado hasta ahora a más de 1.000 estudiantes desde 2008.

A partir de 2015, con la visión de transformar la Academia en una escuela de posgrado de traducción, han ampliado el Regular Course, que en el pasado era de un año, a un curso de dos años.

The Literature Translation Institute of Korea is a Korean government-affiliated organization with the sole purpose of supporting the translation of Korean literature and expanding readership across the world. With this aim in mind, LTI Korea established Translation Academy in 2008 to foster and train professional literary translators. The Academy offers three courses, the Regular Course, Special Course, and a practicum program called the Translation Atelier. 

 Since 2008, the Academy has produced over 1,200 graduates who have completed the courses. Starting this year, we have expanded the Regular Course by launching Chinese and Japanese. The course is scheduled to begin in September 2020 for the academic years 2020-2022.

About the Program

  • Languages: English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese
  • Eligibility
    • Foreigners and overseas Koreans with a bachelor’s degree or above can apply.
    • Applicants who are not involved in any economic activities in Korea when the course starts (September 2020June 2022).
  • Number of Fellowships: Maximum 4 for each language
  • Curriculum: Translation of Literary Texts, Study of Translation Styles, Korean Literature, Korean Culture, Korean Language
    • The program also offers activities such as workshops with Korean writers and literary excursions.

Selection Process

  • Announcement of candidates for telephone interview: May 22, 2020
  • Telephone interview: May 25May 29, 2020
  • Final result announcement: June 15, 2020
