The Coronavirus Pandemic has shortened my days in Spain to more than half of what was expected. But despite the abrupt and unexpected termination of onsite classes, nothing could ever erase the memories I have of Spain and UMA.Spain is indeed a beauty. The culture, the vibrance of the atmosphere and the warmness of the people is incomparable. As for my experience as a student, law classes in UMA were very far from what we have here in the Philippines. Here in my country, law classes are conducted in a Socratic method, where students are expected to have already learned the lesson by themselves and that the teacher's role is to only check if indeed the students understood the doctrines correctly through rigid, graded, oral recitations which as a consequence, usually leaves the students a half-hearted understanding of the lesson. In UMA, the professors diligently lay down the foundations of each and every doctrine they teach, and recitations are on a voluntary basis. Personally, I find such setting preferable because it allows me to listen more carefully and attentively without the fear of getting called for a graded recitation. Until now, in my dreams I still can vividly picture my days in Spain.

Thank you for giving me the chance to experience how it is like to be a student of UMA. I am forever grateful for such opportunity.
