SHORT BIO:

Mario J. Duran was born in Bilbao, Spain, in 1975. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Málaga Spain, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Málaga. His research interests include modeling and control of multiphase drives and renewable energies conversion systems.

RESEARCH:

 Active research lines:

Modelling and control of six-phase electric machines, predictive control of voltaje source converters, fault-tolerant control of electrical drives, artificial intelligence applied to electrical systems, wind energy conversion systems and electric vehicles.
