How to get from Malaga Airport to the city centre
By local train
You can take Line C-1 from the airport to the city centre. You don´t need to change. It´s a direct train and the journey takes only 12 minutes. The nearest stop to the city centre is Centro Alameda.
You can also take this train to the central station María Zambrano, and the connect with the underground lines or the long and medium-distance trains.
Route and Fares
Journey time by local train is approximately 12 minutes to Centro Alameda. A standard ticket is 1,80 €.
Timetable
The local train (airport-Malaga Centro) starts working at 6:44 am and stops at 00:54 midnight.

Route
By bus
To get from the airport to the city centre you can take bus line A or “Aeropuerto Exprés”. The main bus stops downtown are: Maria Zambrano train station, bus station, Avda. Andalucía and Alameda Principal.

Journey time by bus is approximately 27 minutes to the city centre. A standard ticket is 4 €.
Timetable
Buses start working at 7:00 am and stop at 12:00 midnight. It runs every 30-45 minutes.

The approximate price of a taxi from Malaga airport to the city centre is around 25 or 30 EUR. But it´s not easy to know the exact price as there is no fixed fare. The final cost depends on what the taximeter shows plus the additional charges applicable: pick up at the airport, nighttime, etc.

By Uber or Cabify
Another option is to hire a Uber or Cabify. If you wish to use one of these options, you must have the application downloaded on your smartpfone and you must have entered a valid payment method.

How to get from Malaga city centre to El Palo
By bus
To get from the city centre to El Palo (to the International Spanish Centre of the University of Málaga), you can use several city bus lines (EMT): L.11, L.8 and L.3.
Route and fares
The journey can take between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the line and the traffic. Line 8 is slightly faster than Lines 11 and 3.
The ticket costs 1,30 €. You can use your UMA student card to apply for the monthly UMA student pass which costs 17 €.
Timetable
Buses run from 6:20 am to 23:00 pm. every 15-20 minutes.
