Accommodation
UMA does NOT offer accommodation to students, but offers help in finding accommodation through the International Hub, the Accommodation Service or ESN Malaga.
HOUSING RENTAL
Renting a room in a shared flat with other students is the most common way for international students to live in Malaga. There are a large number of flats available for rent, although there is also a great demand (especially in the months of September and February).
1. Through the UMA Accommodation Service:
The Social Action Service of the University of Malaga has an Accommodation Programme with the aim of enabling the search for rented housing through online access to the computer application created for this purpose, where all the formalities are carried out completely FREE of charge, both for those interested in looking for accommodation and for landlords who offer their homes to the university community.
HOW TO ACCESS THE PORTAL TO SEARCH FOR RENTED ACCOMMODATION?

b. Go to the section: "For the applicant"
For the applicant:
- Access the Contact Me Programme using your university community passwords.This key is obtained once you have been accepted by the UMA. (from 20 June)

- Fill in the Programme form.
Once the application for participation in the Programme has been accepted, it will be included in the offer of providers/applicants, as the case may be, and will be included in the Programme´s database, which must be renewed each academic year.
Those who wish to take part in this Programme, both homeowners offering accommodation and those who are seeking accommodation, accept that the role of the Social Action Service of the University of Malaga is limited to that of establishing contact between them. The University of Malaga will not be held responsible for any disagreements that may arise between the two parties.
c. Once you access the platform, click on the different sections following the order of the numbers indicated in the image:
d. Complete the search criteria. As a minimum include the start and end dates of the stay and press SEARCH ("BUSCAR"). You will then see the search results.
By clicking on the button "Más información" (More Information) you will get a more detailed description of the property. By clicking on the button "Contact" you will find the contact details of the provider of the accommodation.
IMPORTANT! The function of the Social Action Service of the University of Málaga is to put housing providers in contact with applicants for accommodation, declining any responsibility that may arise from possible disagreements that may arise between the two parties.

There are also student residences in Malaga, but unlike in other countries, this option is not so common among international exchange students. They usually include food, laundry, cleaning and other services, but they are more expensive.
