The course has been designed to address formal aspects of linguistic description, as well as useful approaches to deal with the linguistic and pragmatic phenomena which cause most difficulty when teaching Spanish. Also covered are aspects of linguistic policy, historical facts and important figures of the Hispanic world. Two cultural excursions are included

Target group: Ph.D. holders, university graduates and teachers interested in the latest methodological approaches and the application of new technology related to teaching Spanish as a second language.
Certificate: (included in the enrolment fee): to obtain the certificate, it is compulsory to attend at least 80% of the classes.
This course is designed to present the main methodological trends as well as the latest developments in this area of education. Contents: explanatory classes; individual or cooperative workshops; individual and group work sessions and presentations of the latest publications on teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
