University of Plymouth International Faculty Developer Programme
Supporting the international teaching community with excellence in faculty development
The University of Plymouth Teaching and Learning Support team are delighted to present the International Faculty Developer Programme. This programme will be of interest to international colleagues who are engaged in educational/ faculty development activities. Plymouth is a UK leader in this field and the programme reflects the excellent work we do here and its impact across the sector.
The programme will provide an introduction to faculty development in the UK followed by sessions on subject areas which include good teaching practice, teaching global issues, employability, entrepreneurship, inclusivity, evaluation and embedding faculty development across the institution. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with a Professor of Higher Education and academics from their own disciplines to discuss teaching development and research projects.
The programme is residential, consisting of one week in Plymouth for tuition followed by a cultural excursion to London and is eligible for Erasmus funding. The next programme runs for 10 days between 12 and 22 July 2019.
