Tuesday will be the Innovation Day at HdM. It is a small conference with the goal to share research knowledge and discuss current topics on and beyond media, as well as innovative teaching and learning approaches.
You can contribute either by giving a classic 15-30 minute presentation or even by running a workshop of up to 90 minutes.
On Wednesday we organize a workshop for international office colleagues and exchange coordinators on International Student Orientation. This year we together with our Student Organisation LEI (Local Erasmus Inivitiative) would also like to see a member of your ESN (Erasmus Student Network) chapter joining us for this workshop day and the following International Day. For this we would kindly ask you to email the contact details of your current ESN president to us on incomings@hdm-stuttgart.de .
Also on Wednesday, we welcome you to join the international VeGA Camp, which is hosted by HdM again this year. Speakers from visual effects, games and computer animation industries will offer a glimpse of their work und present a selection of research projects, case studies and workshops.
In the afternoon, we will take you on a guided tour through HdM, followed by a cultural event and our popular networking dinner.
Thursday is our International Day , which will be an opportunity for you to present your institution to our students and staff. At the same time, our foyer will turn into a study abroad fair.
In the evening, you will have the chance to do some iceskating in the city center of Stuttgart and visit the famous Christmas Market.
On Friday, our students are organizing the International Entrepreneurship Education Summit. This (un-) conference wants to provide a platform for sharing innovative ideas and established best practices in teaching innovation and entrepreneurship. It is open to anyone teaching or promoting entrepreneurship in schools, at universities and within profit and non-profit organizations. At any given time there will be 3 parallel tracks with either 18 minute best-practice-talks or 50 minute hands-on sessions allowing participants to explore tools and teaching concepts.
From Friday to Sunday the StartUp Weekend takes place as well …
If you travel to Stuttgart under the ERASMUS teaching staff mobility scheme and would like to give a lecture to or run a workshop for our students, please leave a comment in the registration form about your possible topics.
New this year: Before arriving in Stuttgart, you can combine your trip with a visit to our partner university Hogeschool van Amsterdam in the Netherlands on 25-26 November for their international event.
Please note: As hotels are quickly fully booked during that time of the year, we recommend you to book your accommodation now, even though our International Week registration is not yet open (registration information will follow in due course). Please find attached a list of recommended hotels. Please also check Airbnb and booking.com for further accommodation options. We recommend staying close to the tram stations for the lines S1, S2 or S3
Please share this invitation with any of your colleagues within your institution that might be interested in joining our International Week.
We are looking forward to seeing your contributions and especially to welcoming you at HdM in the last week of November!
