Welcome to the University of Eastern Finland’s Summer School on 8–19 August 2022 in Joensuu, Finland!
The application period for the UEF Summer School has started, and the rolling application period runs until 15 June 2022. However, please note that some courses have earlier or later deadlines.

UEF Summer School courses in 2022:
- Digital Fabrication and Making in Education - Tools and Pedagogical Perspectives, 5 ECTS
- Education in Diverse Cultures, 5 ECTS
- Environmental Collaboration and Conflict Resolution, 5 ECTS
- Food Law and Policy, 5 ECTS
- Glasses for optical fibres and other applications, 2 ECTS
- Learning Analytics, 5 ECTS
Students from our partner universities get a discount on the participation fee: for students from our partner institutions, the participation fee is 400 euros for a two-week course, or 250 euros for a one-week course. The normal fees are 500/300 euros.
The participation fee includes:
- registering to the course,
- pick-up service from the airport or railway/bus station upon arrival,
- welcome/information material package upon your arrival,
- teaching and course material,
- study facilities on campus (use of computers, library etc.),
- certificate/transcript after the course, and
- free events of the social programme.
UEF Summer School will be much more than studying. What an excellent opportunity to experience an innovative learning environment and typical Finnish summer activities while creating new networks with students from all over the world!
