The Training Week will focus on “How to be international: benefits and challenges” and is open to all kinds of technical/administrative staff. It will include a presentation on the University of Pisa and its International Office, as well as visits to the different departments. The week will feature workshops where participants will discuss themes and topics that complement our subject of 'How to be international'. Of course, the participants will have to introduce their own universities, highlighting their strong and weak points, in order to review where we could best implement practices of internationalisation.

June is a special month for Pisa, we celebrate “Giugno Pisano” (Pisan June), a period rich in events, and historical parades, so we urge you to consider coming to Pisa a couple of days before the Staff Training Week starts. You can experience a truly unique evening on 16 June when we celebrate the ‘Luminara’, a special evening where the city is beautifully illuminated with candles along the river. The next day (17 June) marks the ‘festa di San Ranieri’ (Feast of Saint Ranieri), where the four districts of the city compete in the ‘Regata in Arno’ (Boat Race on the Arno) to celebrate the Pisan nautical tradition.

Needless to say, you will also have the chance to experience the many artistic masterpieces that the city offers, together with a taste of true Tuscan lifestyle & cuisine. And of course you will be “Under the Tuscan Sun”…
