Introduction

The field of Korean studies in Spain, beyond the teaching of the language, has not been easy to build. For many years, those university institutions interested in this field began to teach language courses, and in some cases, in a more general context, courses have been taught that studied the culture and history of China, Japan and Korea jointly. This changed in 2011 when the University of Malaga inaugurated the East Asian Studies degree, mentioning Korea, where besides the language, several subjects related to the humanities and social sciences are studied within the contextual framework of Korea.

At present, the AKS (Academy of Korean Studies), famous academic institutionfocused exclusively on Korean studies, collaborates with the University of Malaga in what has been called "Seed Program for Korean Studies". Project awarded to prestigious universities around the world to strengthen the program of Korean Studies in that institution. In the UMA, this project is born from the need to take the Korean Studies to the next level, after having established the bases of this discipline in Spain. For this, the two main problems of the question will face: the lack of master's programs and the fragmentation in the field of Korean Studies in Spain. The two main objectives of this collaboration program will emerge: the creation of an official master's degree in Korean studies and the creation of research teams that consolidate the foundations of a stable academic community focused on Korean studies in the Spanish-speaking world.

Since the graduation of the first promotion of Korean Studies at the University of Malaga in the year 2014/2015, there is a clear need to offer a postgraduate program for those students who wish to expand their knowledge of Korean Studies. Therefore, this program works on the imminent creation of a master's program coordinated with the Incheon National University and the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon with two lines of specialization: the academic and professional fields. Since the procedures to obtain the official master's degree by the Ministry of Education require time, we have started by creating an expert course taught by specialists from several areas that has served as an opportunity to develop the pillars of the master in a shorter period. In this course professors from the University of Malaga and other foreign universities participate, such as the Incheon National University and the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.

On the other hand, in the field of academic research, research is being carried out focused on the study of the influence that cultural connections between Korea and the Spanish-speaking world have on the emergence of new feelings of identity among young people. In addition, with the aim of promoting the train of researchers in Korean Studies, this project will grant outstanding master's students an initiation scholarship to research so that they can begin their research career.

It is expected to achieve the consolidation of this research team, opening a new area in the university and in the Spanish-speaking world. This will contribute to an increase in the presence of researchers in Korean studies both in Spain and in Latin America. On the other hand, the creation of the University Expert Course in Intercultural Management and Socioeconomic Development in the Hispano-Korean field, has already laid the foundations for the imminent opening of the official master's degree in Korean Studies at the University of Malaga.

Also, with several seminars, symposia, conferences, etc., brought development of the Korea-Spain-Latin America connection networks that already existed. The final object is to find the consolidation of Korean studies in Spain with Latin American perspective and the promotion of understanding between these three regions.
