CIP - FUNDING
Funding can be provided via:
- CIP Financial Instruments, mainly addressing SMEs by bridging market gaps regarding capital financing. Instruments provided vary according to the stage of the company's life-cycle: loan guarantees, venture capital, etc. These financial instruments are managed by the European Investment Fund (EIF) on a trust basis.
- Project funding: The Commission partly funds the costs entailed in pilot and market replication projects as well as those based on analysis, promotion, and dissemination (analysis of policies, coordination, theme-based networks, etc.). 50-75% is the maximum fundable by the Commission; however, it depends on the funding scheme, the legal condition of participants, and the type of activity involved.
