Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE)

This programme attemtps to encourage the efficent and rational use of energy sources by means of new and renewable resources. Furthermore, it aims at improving market conditions that enable energy saving, and thus create an energy-intelligent future.

Pilot, market replication, and dissemination projects will be financed so as to train, develop and disseminate know-how, methods, exchange experiences, market development, training, etc. Budget: EUR 727 Million;.


Actions carried out under this programme do so in the following fields:

• Energy efficiency and the rational use of energy (SAVE)
  
  
• New and renewable resources (ALTENER)
  
  
• Energy in transport (STEER)
  
  
• Integrated initiatives which combine several of the aforementioned fields and priorities.
