The María Zambrano Foundation, together with the María Zambrano Center for Transatlanctic Studies UMA-ATECH, collaborated in the 6th International Congress about María Zambrano: Person, citizenship and democracy, which has been celebrated from 10th to 12th April 2019 in Vélez-Málaga. These workshops, focused on the life and work of the thinker, also had the collaboration of the City Council of Vélez-Málaga; the University of Málaga, through the Vice Chancellor of Culture and Sport and the Delegation of the Chancellor for Equality and Social Action; the General Foundation of the University of Málaga; the Social Council of UMA; the governing body of Málaga; the Association of Municipalities of Costa del Sol Axarquía; and the Culture Council of Junta of Andalusia. The congress, illustrated with the poster made by Eugenio Chicano, combined lectures with communication tables of researchers interested in the study of the work of the thinker from Vélez, which was an ideal framework for the exchange of ideas at national and international level and thus for the dissemination of the Spanish culture abroad.
