The Research Group "Communication Studies and Information Society (E-COM)"
The Research Group "Communication Studies and Information Society (E-COM)" is part of the consolidated research groups of Junta of Andalusia (Code HUM 664). Founded in 1999, it’s consisting of researchers linked to the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Málaga (UMA) and develops its researches in the area of the Social Sciences and Communication.

Reference Project CSO2015-65837-R, entitled “THE MEDIA AND EUROPEAN CONSTRUCTION: A SOCIO-COMMUNICATIVE STUDY OF COMMUNITY RESIDENTS IN THE SOUTH OF SPAIN AND PORTUGAL”, R+D+I project of the state program of Research, Development and Innovation Oriented to the Challenges of Society, financed by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, from January first 2016 to 31th December 2018.
R+D+i: "THE TRANSLATION OF CLASSICS IN ITS EDITORIAL FRAMEWORK: A TRANSATLANTIC VISION"
The project (FFI2013-41743-P, call R+D+I 2013) try to delve into the history and actuality of translations of classics into Spanish or Portuguese on both sides of the Atlantic. The studies already undertaken deal with the editorial history of translations of specific works, the analysis and description of different translations of the same work or of specific translations and the work of the agents involved in the translation process.
