Functions

The Single Additional Provision of UMA's Service Inspection Regulation states that "The Service Inspection functions and competences will be exercised by the current Evaluation and Audit Service."

Service Inspection functions.
In line with its mission to ensure the quality of UMA's services, the Service Inspection is in charge of peforming the following duties, with regards to both the teaching and administration staff:

a) Monitoring the activities and functioning of each centre, department, service or unit at the University of Malaga paying attention to structural, functional and administrative aspects so as to achieve compliance with the current legislation to which it is subject.

b) Checking that the University of Malaga's teaching and administration staff comply with their obligations.

c) Monitoring that all services inspected adequately comply with the legislation, procedures, and terms it is subject to.

d) Analysing and evaluating the proper functioning of UMA's centres, departments, services, and units and, where applicable, formulate proposals.

e) Initiating information and disciplinary proceedings, where applicable.
