5th International Workshop of ibero-American and Transatlantic Studies – 2019


"From the North Atlantic to the South Atlantic: perceptions and representations"
Objective:
The objective of this scientific meeting, in which national and international researchers and experts participate, is to discuss about the relation between Spain and Portugal and their influence on the Atlantic, through Internationals Relations, Cultural Studies, Literary Journalism, American Studies, Anglo-Portuguese and Imperialist Studies, comparative Spanish-Portuguese Literature, Communication and Public Relations.
Methodology:
Five working sessions are planned over the two days of the meeting. Each session will have a table composed of 4 or 5 researches from similar areas who will address different but complementary topics. Each one will have about 20-25 minutes for their intervention and after that there will be a time of questions and exchange of perceptions between the speakers of the table and the rest of researches and assistants. These kind of scientific meetings are designed as a meeting of experts to exchange opinions and points of view about a specific topic of interest in the Atlantic framework.

Target:
The event is open to everyone interested in the relations that take place between the two sides of the Atlantic, specially historical, political and cultural.
