TSN (Transatlantic Studies Network) journal starts the period for submission of new articles
TSN (Transatlantic Studies Network) Revista de Estudios Internacionales journal has just started the period for submission of new original texts and works for his next edition. The works must be sent until the 10th May to tsn@uma.es. The journal —whose first edition was presented last January— is a digital and biannual publication and complies different articles and contributions related to Transatlantic Studies. It revives as well the stories of those relevant figures who lived on both sides of the Atlantic.
TSN already got its ISSN number —International Standard Serial Number— by the National Library of Spain (BNE) in order to identify serial publications, which helps to strengthen the spreading of this journal in the specialised academic field. It also helps to reinforce it in its intention to become as an “intellectual meeting place about the social, politic, economic, cultural or scientific facts and phaenomenons” that concerns both sides of the Atlantic, argued Juan Antonio García Galindo, its chief editor.
The aspiring works must fulfil some criteria requirements fully explained on the journal’s website. In this sense, they should deal with themes or figures related to the Atlantic World in order to be included respectively in Miscelánea orHuellas Transatlánticas sections. Likewise, the aim of TSN is to support both novel and acclaimed artists in its section so called Creación and it is opened to receive new contributions that could fit in this section.
In its first edition, TSN displays its disciplinary nature in its eight sections, in which we can find from a special section dedicated to the philosopher María Zambrano to a visual tour among key geographic points in Territorios. This way, the journal combines essay contents with the reflection through art or currentness.
The publication is edited by the María Zambrano Center for Transatlantic Studies UMA – ATECH and Studies Group about Communication and Information Society (Grupo de Estudios sobre Comunicación y Sociedad de la Información or (E-Com).
