Institute members
The IIO, at its inception, consisted of thirteen researchers, twelve of whom were PhDs. The Institute is obviously of a transversal and interdisciplinary nature. The members belong to five different areas of knowledge: Algebra, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electronic Technology and Signal Theory and Communications.
These researchers were joined by members of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography, researchers who use a variety of complex technologies on a daily basis for the development of their work and who provide the user's vision, which is fundamental in the creation of new and evolving technologies.
Later, other researchers from the areas of Computer Science and Philology joined the Institute. Today, the members are as follows:
