Research projects, contracts and agreements

2024-01: In January 2024 has been presented in the call 2023 "Knowledge Generation Projects" of the National Plan of R+D+i the proposal of the project "Heterogeneous submarine networks for collaborative, dynamic and profitable exploration (NEMO4EX)". Project coordinated by the UNED with the participation of research groups from the spanish universities UCA, UNED, UPM and UMA.

2023-2024: Grant of the project "Advanced 3D camera for optimized underwater imaging and wireless recharging (CAMSUB3D)". Funding entity: Junta de Andalucía. Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (Complementary Marine Science Plan). Duration from 23-01-2023 to 30-09-2025. Participating entity: University of Málaga. Head: Miguel- Ángel Luque-Nieto. Participating Researchers: M. Carmen Clemente Medina, Enrique Nava Baro and Pablo Otero Roth.

2023-2024: Grant of the Project "Satellite remote sensing system of toxic ALGAs in the coast of Andalusia (SALGAND)" with a duration of 1 year. Funding entity: CEIMAR Foundation. Campus of International Excellence of the Sea.  Participating entities: Institute of Oceanic Engineering (University of Malaga), University of Cadiz. Duration from 02/01/2023 to 30/04/2024. 2022-2024: Public-private collaboration project (CPP2021-009117). "Industrial depth cameras - INDUDECAM" with a duration of 3 years. Funding entity: Agencia Estatal de Investigación, Programa Estatal de I+D+i Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad. Participating entities: Photonic Sensors and Algorithms SL and University of Málaga. 2021-09-07: Resolution of the RETOS call awarding the project for a duration of 3 years, "Swarms of autonomous underwater vehicles inspired by artificial intelligence: their time has come (NAUTILUS)". Project coordinated by the UPM with the participation of research groups from the universities UCA, UNED, UPLGC, UPM and UMA.

2021-09-28: Grant of the project UMA20-FEDERJA-030, "Establishment of a prediction system for solid waste pollution in the Andalusian coasts (MEDUSA)" with a duration of 2 years. Heads: Francisco Criado Aldeanueva, and Pablo Otero Roth. Research team members Alfonso Ariza Quintana, M. Carmen Clemente Medina, Miguel Ángel Luque Nieto, Alberto Poncela González and Simone Sammartino. Project participants: Irene Nadal Arizo and Álvaro Hernández Romero.

2019-07-30: Grant of the Bridge Project of the UMA's Own Plan "Algorithms and electronic platforms for submarine radio navigation system". Head: Pablo Otero Roth. Duration: one year.
