University Residence

The University Halls of Residence houses students in two-and three-bedroom apartments, either single or double, with a shared bathroom, living room, and a small kitchen which includes kitchenware.  

The apartments are in an enclosed area and include the following services: restaurant, laundry, events hall, and 24-hour surveillance. There is also unlimited access to the internet via WiFi, cable, and free national landline phone calls. All apartments are cleaned twice a week.

Residence fees vary according to the students' budget and the type of room. Fees are also subject to change at the start of each academic year in accordance with the CPI (Consumer Price Index).

Electricity and water expenses are charged separately and residents are responsible for the distribution of payment. Residents can bring their own bedding or rent it at the Residence.

You may apply for a place at the University Hall of Residence through the call issued each academic year in the BOJA (Official Bulletin of the Regional Government of Andalusia) around May. The selection criterion is based on: the income level of the student’s family, the distance the student lives from the University, and the student’s academic record.    

Applications, together with the required documentation, must be presented at the Registro General (General Register) of the University of Malaga, within 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the call in the BOJA
