CAMPUS PROGRAMME

The CAMPUS Programme is an initiative of the Agency for Innovation and Development of Andalusia in collaboration with Andalusian universities. It aims to develop technology-based companies (EBT) arising in the university environment.
The main objective of the CAMPUS Programme is to create technology-based companies whose business viability is usually reduced due to the lack of commercial development and the economic risk that must be assumed for the development of the project. Therefore, the CAMPUS programme combines the fundamental concepts of the strategy of the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Science and Enterprise regarding its policy for research and business creation: the University, applied research and support for the implementation of technology-based companies.
The Agency supports the implementation of technology-based projects in various fields through the Andalusian University,and by granting a participating loan of up to €100,000 through Invercaria. The repayment of this loan and the interest accrued will depend on the results obtained by the project.
CAMPUS is of strategic importance in creating culture and entrepreneurial experience at the University. The contribution of the CAMPUS Programme to the development of new technology-based companies is fundamental. Due to the nature of these businesses, important financial support is needed, which is given by combining the support of the University with the incentive of the Agency. The University commits to oversee the project from the outset, in collaboration with Invercaria and the Provincial Management of the Agency for Innovation. The Agency is responsible for providing the necessary advice for the funding and development of the project in order to ensure the maximum chance of success.
The University of Malaga has formalized nine CAMPUS projects to date.
