Established in 1972, and located in Malaga, Spain, UMA is a public HEI with +2.400 professors and +35.000 students. It has 23 faculties/schools (82 departments). UMA offers +200 programmes (76 UND + 53 MAS + 43 PHD). UMA has 2 campuses (2Mm2). It is part of "Andalucia Tech" campus of excellence.

UMA has bilateral agreements with +350 HEIs the world over with +1,000/+1,000 (in/out)/yr exch. students and +100/+100 (in/out)/yr exch. researchers. UMA participates in a number of international/national programmes (7PM, LLP, EM, Tempus, ISEP, Fulbright, AUIP, etc.). UMA is member of +100 associations/networks.

UMA has 278 research groups (+400 national / +125 international projects [2007-2012]). It has the sponsorship of enterprises from local Tech Park (PTA). UMA meets the following quality standards: EFQM +200/+300, ISO 9001/14001, etc. It offers paid internships in +100 companies, has +1800 business contracts and a total budget of + 250M€/year. UMA offers a wide catalogue of services.
