ADMINISTRATIVE AND SERVICES STAFF

The administration and services staff of the University of Malaga will consist of both civil servants and non-civil servant staff contracted by the University, as well as civil servants belonging to other public authorities who work under agreement at the University of Malaga.

Administrative and services staff will be governed by legal provisions, those laid down in the Statutes of the University of Malaga, labour law and the prevailing collective agreements.

LIST OF POSTS

The list of posts for administrative and services staff will be compiled according to criteria of efficiency and quality as required by the implementation of the Strategic Plan of the University. The Governing Council will establish the List of Posts for Administrative and Services Staff, following negotiations with the most representative trade unions at the University of Malaga.

The Governing Council may amend the list of posts for administrative and services staff, by extending, reducing or changing the name of posts every three years or optionally each year, without prejudice to the implementation and control of the Budget of the University of Malaga, and after negotiation with the most representative trade unions at the University of Malaga.

The University of Malaga will select civil servant and non-civil servant staff, through advertising and public calls for applications, and through the systems established by the legislation in force, and will guarantee the constitutional principles of equality, merit and ability.

The state of current expenditure will accompany the list of posts of all categories of staff at the University, specifying all costs thereof. The costs of teaching and research staff, as well as that of administrative and services staff, must be authorized by the Autonomous Community.

Any change in the management of services provided by the University of Malaga, may not lead to an overall reduction in the number of jobs included in the List of Posts.
