The University of Malaga Chair of Flamencology

The Chair of Flamencology is a forum which aims to develop educational, academic and research activities related to the Art of Flamenco, an expression of popular culture and part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity The main aim of this Chair is to foster interest among university students for flamenco and encourage the study and investigation of this art. It also aims to strengthen the presence of flamenco in the social environment of the University of Malaga, focusing on the role of flamenco as seen from different perspectives: cultural, artistic, technical, historical, anthropological, economic and sociological.
