MESA+ is one of the largest nanotechnology research institutes in the world. The Nanolab has all the facilities necessary for structuring of catalytic materials in microreactor platforms, including Chemical Vapor Deposition, Sputter Coating, Etching techniques, Lithography etc.

Also an impressive infrastructure for catalyst characterization is available, including X-Ray Diffraction, state of the art Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopes and Ultra High vacuum techniques (XPS). The PCS group is equipped with various in situ techniques, such as rapid scan infrared in combination with ATR spectroscopy.
