GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YEAR 2011-2012

Spanish Ministry of Education Grants

> General and Mobility Grants: 11.236 (15% increase to last year); 291 correspond to mobility programmes.
> Departmental Collaboration Grants: 107.
> "Séneca" Grants: 59 for outgoing UMA students and 37 for incoming students.

UMA Grants

> PhD grants: 9 (13.763 euros).
> Complementary Grants for Non-Erasmus Mobility: 101 (50.756 euros).

"Junta de Andalucía" Study Grants and UMA Social Support

> Grants amount to the same quantity as last year: 650.000 euros, of which 160.000 derives from UMA's budget. Out of 2.424 applicants, 1.089 received grants.

Grants for UMA Student Associations

> Two calls were issued; in the October 2011 call, 16 grants were awarded, whereas in the May 2012 call a total of 25 were awarded, increasing the amount to 40.000 euros.

Erasmus

> 422 agreements signed with universities around Europe
> Outgoing students: 836
> Incoming students: 717
> Erasmus Internships: 48 students distributed among 45 companies in Europe

Latin America

> Outgoing students: 78 students sent to 29 Latin American universities in 8 different countries 
> Incoming students: 116 students sent to 28 universities in 9 different countries 

Asia and Oceania

> Outgoing students: 42 student sent to Korea and 4 to Australia
> Incoming students: 60 students from Korea, 8 from Taiwan, and 11 from Australia
