The Doctoral Programme has some collaboration agreements thanks to the Instituto Universitario de Investigación de Género e Igualdad, which is affiliated to:
- The University Platform for Feminist and Gender Studies (EUFEM), in which more than thirty university entities, research agencies and associations participate, sets as fundamental objectives of its work to demand compliance with the law on gender equality, to work for the creation of a specific area of knowledge, and not to go back on the progress achieved.
- EQUAL4EUROPE Gender Equality and Diversity Officers Network (EQUAL4EUROPE Gender Equality and Diversity Officers Network). This network brings together research institutions from different European countries with the aim of developing gender equality standards for research institutions in the Arts, Humanities, Medicine, Social Sciences, Business and Law. Specifically, the project includes Esade, ESMT, INSEAD, RSM, IEDC, Comenius University, EFMD and Nehem.
- RIMEG (International Multidisciplinary Network on Gender Studies). This Latin American network provides spaces for reflection, analysis and dissemination of issues and problems related to Gender Studies, in polyphonic dialogue with different disciplines and knowledge, including those related to Women's History and feminism, among others. It was promoted by the National University of Cuyo (Argentina) and supported by the Federal University of Bahia (San Salvador de Bahia, Brazil) and the University of Seville (Seville, Spain).

In addition to these collaborations, there are other expressions of interest on the part of entities and organisations to develop initiatives linked to gender studies and with the aim of promoting research and its transfer to the social and productive environment, always through the University Institute for Gender and Equality Research. These include the Diputación de Málaga (Equality and Social Innovation), the Consejería de Igualdad, Políticas Sociales y Conciliación de la Junta de Andalucía (child protection service) and the Instituto Universitario de Análisis y Aplicaciones Textuales de la Universidad de las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The teaching staff of this Doctoral Programme has promoted collaborations with foreign researchers, both in competitive research projects and in the organisation of scientific events, in joint publications of high impact, in the co-direction of doctoral theses and in doctoral thesis tribunals for the achievement of the international mention.
