Once the composition of the examining board has been approved and the reports and all the documentation associated with the thesis have been received, the Postgraduate Commission will declare the thesis officially deposited.

The thesis in electronic format will be deposited for a period of fifteen calendar days, counting from the day after the documentation is approved by the Postgraduate Commission. During this time, any duly accredited doctor may examine the thesis on deposit and submit in writing to the Postgraduate Commission any considerations they deem appropriate to make, if they have a legitimate interest.

The Doctoral Programme and the Doctoral School will disseminate on their respective websites the theses that shall be kept in custody, and shall indicate the title, the names of the author and those who have directed the work, as well as the doctoral programme in which it has been carried out.

For theses authorized to be processed by the confidentiality procedure, the Academic and Quality Committee of the Doctoral Program, after approval of the Postgraduate Commission, will provide mechanisms to comply with the conditions for publication of results provided for in the respective confidentiality agreement with enterprises or that result from the possibility of generate patents or property records.

Comments to a thesis received during the public access period will be forwarded to the Academic and Quality Committee of the Program, to those who have directed and mentored the thesis, and to the student.

Within seven days after the end of the deposit period, the doctoral student, and those who have directed and tutored his thesis will express in writing to the Postgraduate Committee their decision to continue the process or to stop it. In any case, the doctoral student may send a report to the Postgraduate Committee responding to comments made on her or his thesis.

Having heard the Academic and Quality Committee, the doctoral student and those who have directed and tutored her or his thesis, the person presiding over the Doctoral School may request from the doctoral student documents that she or he considers appropriate, or require modifications to the doctoral thesis which she or he deems appropriate, in order to authorize the defense.
