Conferences

Members of the Institute of Oceanic Engineering have presented dozens of oral communications or posters at important national and international conferences.

In addition, the Institute is an organizer and host of an international conferences:

Global Conference of Wireless and Optical Technologies, GCWOT

of which two editions have already been held: 2021 (which had to be postponed to February 2022 due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic) and 2023. In addition, the 2024 edition is already organized AND CONVENED, GCWOT 2024. 

Readers of this page are strongly encouraged to submit papers to this international conference.

GCWOT proceedings are published in one of the largest international engineering repositories: IEEE Xplore.

GCWOT is sponsored by the Universities:

The Organizing Committee is co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Bhawani S. Chowdhry (MUET) and Prof. Dr. Pablo Otero (UMA). The Scientific Committee is co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir (SSUET) and Prof. Dr. Enrique Nava (UMA). In addition, in the organization of GCWOT participate, with different responsibilities, the researchers of the Institute Mª Carmen Clemente Medina and Miguel-Á. Luque-Nieto.

GCWOT is the continuation of the International Global Conference of Wireless and Optical Communications, GCWOC, of which four editions were held, in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The great Prof. Dr. Javier Poncela, who was a founding member of the IIO, was the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the four editions of GCWOC, together with Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry.
