The lines of research related to the automobile are tire modeling (for this purpose, a flat tread tire test bench has been designed and built, and a bench for determining the distribution of pressures in the contact footprint). The improvement of current anti-lock braking systems (ABS) by means of fuzzy logic techniques to achieve a pressure in the brake caliper adapted to the estimated grip. For this, the new ABS has been implemented in a kart designed entirely by the Mechanical Engineering Area. Another line is aimed at acquiring signals in real time from a moving car. Signals are captured such as acceleration, speed, height above sea level, temperature... For this, the kart mentioned above has been instrumented.
