This doctoral program offers graduates of master’s studies in legal or social subjects the opportunity to complete their postgraduate training with a doctorate that qualifies them for high-level research in a wide range of subjects within their field. The interdisciplinary nature of the program, within the specificity of the legal-social theme, allows for the inclusion of a total of 18 different areas of knowledge. The program is structured into four major lines of research, each of which involves four to five groups from the Andalusian Plan for Research, Development, and Innovation. Several active and ongoing research projects support the program, whose Principal Investigators (PIs) are part of its faculty.
Most of the program’s professors are also from the Faculty of Law at UMA. Additionally, professors from the Faculty of Social Studies and Work (FEST) at UMA and researchers from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) are part of the program. The program also includes a significant number of external collaborators, professors from European and American universities with whom Faculty of LaW and FEST-UMA maintain a consolidated relationship, giving it a notable international orientation.
