The admission requirements to the Dynamics of Biogeochemical Fluxes and its Applications PhD programme are those established in article 6 of RD 99/2011, of 28 January:
In order to access an official doctoral programme it is compulsory to have an official Spanish Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, and a Master's degree. Access is also open to those who are in one of the following situations:
- To have an official Spanish university degree or a degree from another country in the European Higher Education Area that gives access to a Master's degree, in accordance with the provisions of Article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, with a minimum of 300 ECTS credits in official university studies, of which at least 60 must be at Master's level.

These graduates must complete the training complements referred to in article 7.2 of this regulation, unless the curriculum of the corresponding bachelor's degree includes research training credits equivalent to the research credits of the master's degree.
- University graduates who, after having obtained a training place in the relevant entrance examination for specialised health training places, have completed at least two years of training in a programme leading to the official qualification in one of the specialisations in the health sciences, with a positive evaluation
- To have a degree obtained in accordance with foreign education systems, without the need for official recognition, once the University has verified that it recognises a level of training equivalent to that of the official Spanish Master's degree and that entitles the holder to access doctoral studies in the country that issued the degree. This admission does not in any way imply the homologation of the previous degree held by the candidate, nor its recognition for purposes other than access to doctoral studies.
